About Twisted L Horsemanship

Based now in Winchester, KY, Twisted L Horsemanship had humble beginnings in 2010 in central North Carolina.  For 14 years, Jessie and Dustin Lunsford offered lessons and clinics, facilitated a large 4-H program, and maintained a 30+ horse boarding, breeding, and training facility, proudly standing our lovely AQHA stallion Drawlin’.    Under Jessie and Dustin’s astute training and coaching,  youth and adult Twisted L riders have competed successfully in local, state, regional, and national ranch versatility shows with their own horses and with Twisted L home-bred horses.   
 
With the move to Kentucky in the summer of 2024, Twisted L is expanding our service to larger audiences by offering an online curriculum in addition to lessons and clinics across Kentucky and the East Coast at select approved facilities.  Our areas of expertise include groundwork, colt starting, problem-solving, confidence building, trust-based horsemanship, cattle work, and training/coaching for ranch versatility events.  However, we use a blend of traditional and new-age training techniques that can be applied to all disciplines.   The name “Twisted L”  has become synonymous with relationship-based training for both horse and rider, regardless of discipline or goals. 
 
In addition to our popular online program that includes monthly challenges with feedback, we offer many options for face-to-face instruction, including private lessons, mini-clinics, and large-scale clinics.  We work with horses and riders of all ages and experience levels, contact us today!
